- To further the knowledge and understanding of the origins,
lifestyle and health issues of street kids.
- To encourage scholarly research on intervention and program
planning, development and implementation.
- To enhance the dissemination process of research findings
|
- Facilitate scholarly researchers or student with sponsored
projects with the logistics of finding a sponsor site and
conducting research in the field in Ecuador
- Promote the evaluation of our programs
- Offer a forum for communication and dissemination of
research findings
We do not offer funding to potential researchers, rather we help people with projects approved by internal review boards at their organizations find a site to conduct their research and continue to provide non-financial resources and support while investigators are working in the field in Ecuador.

In conjunction with the University of California Human Rights Center and the
Boalt School of Law, we are sponsoring an internship for law students interested
in advocating for the rights of street children, providing legal aid to street
children, youth and abused children, conducting human rights preventative
education workshops in the community, and investigating and documenting
human rights abuses in the streets.
