"hopeless case" by those once willing to help him; recently released from prison for
stealing to support his drug addictions, escaped from two rehabilitation centers, and
after consistent pleas to be put into a rehabilitation center in the Amazon (far from
the temptations of the city streets and impossible to escape), he was denied access
due to a failing heart condition.  Now, he roams the streets of the city, feeling
rejected, in need of medical care and still desperate to free himself from the wrath of
drug addiction.

David- 22-yr-old young man, who left a physically abusive home at the age of 7;
after a life filled with violence and substance abuse, David has managed to control
his drug use through the support of the organization.  He currently needs support to
train as a peer health-educator and transition off the streets.
